ROYAL CITY - Christmas will be more joyful than expected for numerous children in this community, thanks to a Giving Tree at the Red Rock Elementary School, and you are asked to participate in the giving.

There is a Giving Tree in the main office with various tags on it. Approximately 87 children's names have been drawn to be given gifts from community members this holiday season.

Staff and community members may choose a tag and provide gifts for the student described on the tags (the names remain anonymous except to organizers.)

"Community members are encouraged to stop by the main office during school hours and choose as many tags as they would like," Counselor Nicole Dunn said.

Gifts are due no later than Dec. 16. They will be delivered to children on Dec. 17.

Dunn noted that Royal Middle School and Royal High School also have tags that can be picked up at the main building of either school.
