Stanley Patrick "Pat" Carlson passed away Nov. 14, 2014, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash.
Pat was born at the Wardner Hospital in Kellogg, Idaho, on March 6, 1950, to Roy H. and Louise J. (Mott) Carlson, the youngest of five children. He was raised in the Silver Valley, attending grade school in Pinehurst and graduating from Kellogg High School in 1968. He worked at Bunker Hill and served in the United States Army. Pat was a millwright and welder by trade and worked throughout the western United States. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, gathering wood, working in his yard and garden, and tempting fate while riding his motorcycle.
Pat was preceded in death by his mother and father; sister Caroline Huber; and brothers Roy Alan "Butch" Carlson and John D. Carlson. Pat is survived by his loving friend and companion Karen Kero and her son, Jeremiah Kero; his daughter, Nichola (Nicci) Shimmel, husband Michael and their daughter, Hayden Audrey; his sister, Audrey and husband Paul Hakala; many nieces and nephews; and his loving and furry companion, Sasha.
