EAST WENATCHEE - The Manta Ray Aquatics team took a squad of 11 swimmers to the Christmas Invite hosted in Wenatchee over the weekend.

Competing for MRA was Max Boruff, Abby Byington, Nate Dagnon, Anna Fair, Ella Heaps, Noah Heaps, Jordan Pack, Cole Lindberg, Christopher Vidrine, Jessica Williams, and Ian Wiseman.

On the second day of the meet, 14-year-old Anna Fair broke both the women's 13-14 year old team records in the 50 butterfly (29.53 seconds) and 50 backstroke (31.21 seconds).

Both records had previously been held by coach Stephanie Semenko since 2004. Fair also broke the women's 13-14 team record in the 100 butterfly earlier this season.

Also swimming at the meet for MRA was Jessica Williams (12), who earned three first place finishes in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 1000 freestyle. Williams, who had many break-out swims at the Christmas Invite, is now within striking distance of beating the women's 11-12 team record in the 1,000 freestyle.
