Wrestlers get into holiday spirit

PLAINS-Saturday and Sunday, members from the Savage Horsemen Wrestling team were selling Christmas Trees and Wreathes to raise money for their fund. “We are self funded.” explained Bryce Henning as he stood with his fellow teammates while they waited for a customer. Since 2010, the team has sold tre es and wreathes, which helps with equipment and other necessary expenses.
“We cut them down ourselves.” explained the whole group as they talked talked about the process of earning funds. The team, coaches and some fathers cut the trees down themselves to save cost and then sell for 20 dollars a piece. They buy the trees and charge an extra five dollars to earn a profit.
“Yesterday we sold 30 trees and 20 wreathes.” exclaimed Henning. By Sunday morning, the team felt good about their sells.

Hot Springs celebrates Chinese New Year
Hot Springs - The community of Hot Springs came together Saturday afternoon to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Although the Chinese New Year was actually Thursday the 19th, the town decided to move their celebrations to Saturday.
