Cashier is victim of tobacco attack-o

A manager at a local gas station reported an incident from last week in which a customer got into the cashier’s face and grabbed the cigarette out from behind his ear and threw it at him, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office

 

A man reported that his company vehicles have had gas siphoned from them in Evergreen. 

A “gorgeous” German shepherd was running loose on Whalebone Drive on Thursday morning. 

A Somers man reported having trouble with his neighbor. He had a broken window in his shed and said he was tired of police telling him that their issues were a civil matter and threatened to drive by the neighbor’s house and sideswipe his vehicle in retaliation. 

A Columbia Falls woman reported being the victim of fraud from a Florida company. 

Two men were seen fighting on U.S. 2 East in Columbia Falls on Thursday afternoon after one man tried to steal tools out of the other man’s pickup. 

A person with a property preservation company was supposed to be doing some work on a foreclosed house, but it appeared that someone was still living there Thursday. 

A woman was seen running around a Shady Lane residence with a pistol. The woman was trying to get her cellphone back from her ex-boyfriend and she was carrying a pellet gun. 

Someone living in Kalispell reported being the victim of identity fraud as an unknown person used his or her name, date of birth and Social Security number to apply for unemployment benefits. 

A Bigfork man called police to inform them that he picked up a friend Thursday and believed that there was a “set-up” on Montana 35 and Holt Drive. He said he also saw someone leaving the liquor store and believed that the man was also a “set-up.” We are not sure what a “set-up” is, but it sounds scary and we would rather not run into one anytime soon.

A Bigfork man calling from Gate Terrace reported that $1,600 in cash and some food items were stolen from his home. 

Someone called at 8:30 p.m. Thursday saying that the downstairs neighbor was vacuuming and slamming doors. 

A patient left a local hospital with an IV still in his arm. 


 

Whitefish Police received a report of road rage Thursday after someone was throwing objects at the man’s vehicle and then started following him down Baker Avenue. 


 

A man was kicked out of a local sandwich shop because he reportedly has a tendency to steal workers’ tips, according to Columbia Falls Police


 

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a structure fire Thursday on Grouse Ridge Drive. Some heating tape had started part of the deck on fire, and the homeowner was able to extinguish it before the fire department arrived. “They did the right thing,” said Whitefish Fire Chief Joe Page. “They called us and then got their fire extinguisher at it.” 


 

A woman called Kalispell Police because someone was parked in her parking spot. 

A couple living on Short Pine Drive caught three boys trying to break into a house next door to theirs that is under construction. Two of the boys ran away, but the husband was able to detain the other one until officers arrived. 

A hotel employee called police after someone snuck into a room without paying early Friday. 

A disgruntled man was causing problems at a Heritage Way clinic as he was upset while waiting to see a doctor. He threatened office staff, going as far as to say that he would take hostages. 

A long skateboard was stolen out of the back of a pickup parked at the mall Friday afternoon.
