MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man was arrested Friday night after he reportedly struck another man with his vehicle.
About 11 p.m., Moses Lake police received reports of a fight outside of Neppel's Dockside Pub, located at 204 W. Broadway Ave. in Moses Lake
Upon arrival, officers learned the physical altercation allegedly started because of conflicting gang affiliations between Freddy Olivares, 29, of Moses Lake, and Jose Delacruz-Villa, 23, of Moses Lake, Ramiro Moran, 32, of Moses Lake, and Miguel Reyna, 25, of Royal City.
According to police records, while Moran and Reyna were fighting with Olivares, Delacruz-Villa, driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier, allegedly tried to hit Olivares.
Olivares was reportedly hit by the vehicle three times, and at one point was stuck on the hood of the moving Chevy Cavalier.
Olivares received minor scratches and cuts to his left leg, but did not require medical attention, said Capt. David Sands, of the Moses Lake Police Department.
While Delacruz-Villa was reportedly trying to hit Olivares, his vehicle hit a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser, a 2006 Ford Expedition and a city-owned flower box.
Moran and Reyna then got into the vehicle with Delacruz-Villa and attempted to flee the scene. Their vehicle was pulled over by a Washington State Patrol trooper and the three men were taken into custody a few blocks away from the tavern, according to police records.
The trooper took Dellacruz-Villa into custody and applied for a search warrant to obtain his blood. After Dellacruz-Villa had his blood drawn he was transported to the Grant County Jail and booked on suspicion of vehicular assault, DUI and first-degree driving without a valid operator's license.
Fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct citations are expected for Moran and Reyna, according to police records. Moran and Reyna were released.
