Throughout history, people have used glandular nutritional therapy as a natural supplement. Usually they didn't know it was glandular therapy, but they knew that ingesting organs and glands from animals or fish was good for the health and for preventing or treating specific ailments. They ate the liver, kidneys, heart, brain, eyes, pancreas, digestive tract walls, adrenal glands, thyroid glands, thymus gland, bone and bone marrow, and similar portions. Such animal tissues are concentrated sources of nutrients and specific tissues are especially supportive to their parallel tissues in the human body.

Protomorphogens are a unique part of the nutritional genius of Dr. Royal Lee, the founder of Standard Process, which has revolutionized health potential for those fortunate enough to learn about their regenerative capabilities.

A protomorphogen is a template for the body to create better and healthier cells. The basic premise of using glandular tissues as therapy is "like heals like," a concept which has been in existence for almost as long as historic records have been kept.

They are useful for re-vitalizing sick tissue such as the thyroid, adrenal, heart, digestive system, nerves, kidney, pancreas, reproductive organs, liver, bones, the immune system, etc. They are tissue specific, as each organ has its specific cellular instructions on how to produce and heal that tissue packed within its own cellular substance.

During their development, Standard Process found that when the cells of any organ are damaged, cellular debris is released into the bloodstream. The body treats this debris as a foreign substance and creates an antibody to destroy it. On some occasions, these antibodies also attack the original organ as well, which causes what we now call autoimmune disorders such as type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. Protomorphogens seem to have the unique ability to neutralize these antigen-antibody reactions, which helps stop this self-destruction.

In an unhealthy body, there may be mineral deficiency, improper coding, insufficient protein availability and poor intercellular function. By adding dietary PMG's and complementary nutrients, the patient's own ability to create and support healthy tissue becomes greatly enhanced.

Animal studies done by Dr. Howard Weiner at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston documented the successful use of glandulars in the treatment of two autoimmune diseases - multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. In general, Dr. Weiner and his colleagues have suggested that ingesting different tissue "building blocks" can combat autoimmune diseases.

Standard Process Protomorphogens are healthy, natural and powerful. More than a blueprint, they actually contain that elusive spark of life we don't want to lose. Contact Natural Spine Solutions for more information.
