Penny Christoferson, 75, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away on December 14, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Penny was born on December 22, 1938 in Grand Coulee, Washington. She was the daughter of the late Carl Stuart Buchholz and Lillian Faye Buchholz (Pounds). She was raised in Renton, Washington where she graduated from Renton High School. She attended college at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

Penny is survived by her husband John; two children, Eric Christoferson and his wife Jennifer of Sandpoint, ID, Paige Taus and her husband Pete of Plumas Lake, CA; her 4 grandchildren Elek, Peter, Koen and Parker; her brother, Carl Buchholz and his wife Mary Pachek of Hobart, WA; and by loving in-laws, nieces, nephew and dear friends.

Penny was a housewife and mother and a long time resident of Saratoga, CA. Upon her husband's retirement in 2005, they moved to Hayden.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, Hayden, ID.
