The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office caught a couple of “lovebirds” around 4 a.m. Friday in Kalispell. According to dispatch, they were “getting dressed and on their way.” 

A Kalispell man caught a couple trying to siphon gas out of his vehicle on Flathead Avenue early Thursday morning. The pair, a man and a woman, took off in a small, darker-colored passenger car and left behind a five-gallon gas tank. 

A suspicious man was watching store associates as they came in and out of a U.S. 2 East store Thursday in Kalispell. The man, who kept circling around the parking lot, was advised he was no longer welcome in the area. 

A Kalispell woman reported a civil matter to police when her daughter took away her granddaughter’s school photos and would not return them. 

A man reported a debit card was stolen from his mailbox on Cobbler Way in Kalispell and that it had been used in Plains. 

A pickpocket stole a man’s wallet out of his coat pocket at a Montana 35 store Thursday. 

A Columbia Falls man fell victim to a scam call that said his grandson was in jail and needed money for bail.

A Coram woman’s garage had been burglarized. A handgun was stolen and footprints leading up to the garage were visible in the snow. 

 

Columbia Falls Police received a call from a person who was receiving suspicious letters in the mail. According to the officers who collected the correspondence, it was “just a bunch of rambling.” 

A car struck an electrical pole around midnight Friday at the intersection of Columbia Falls Stage and Kelly Road. According to Flathead Electric representative Wendy Ostrom Price, 230 people were out of power for about 15 minutes. 

 

A woman living on Fifth Avenue East reported to Kalispell Police that her neighbors litter all over her lawn, including tossing their cigarette butts on her property. 

A man tried to return an item at a Third Avenue East North store, but when store employees informed the man they could not issue a refund because the store does not carry that particular item, the man became belligerent. 

A man was seen passed out in a West Montana Street laundromat Thursday night. 

Someone called police regarding two suspicious men at a U.S. 93 business, describing them as “acting weird and looking like they were up to trouble.” The caller also said that the men may have been on drugs as one of the men was “bouncing all over” and the other had “huge bugged eyes.” 

A youth was caught shoplifting from a Third Avenue East North store Thursday night. 

A man called to report “excessive” marijuana activity at Sixth Avenue West. 

A belligerent bar patron punched a bartender in the face around 1:30 a.m. Friday on U.S. 93 South. 

A business reported receiving several “disturbing” letters in the mail. 

A woman was seen drinking a beer while passing through a bank drive-through Friday morning. 

Another youth was seen shoplifting at a West Idaho Street store. He stuck some soda in his backpack and took off.
