BOISE - After trailing 15-12 at halftime, the Lake City Timberwolves stormed back to take a 27-24 lead after the third quarter and beat the host Borah Lions 37-31 on Friday in the second of three games in three days in Boise.
"We couldn't throw the ball in the ocean," said Lake City coach Bryan Kelly, whose team has won seven straight games. "We couldn't knock down any shots and we weren't focused coming out. We played a little better in the second half. I'm not pleased with our intensity, but we learned we have to come out with more intensity."
Whitney Meier scored 10 points and Keara Simpson added eight points and six rebounds for the Timberwolves (8-1). Olivia Maryon had nine rebounds and Natalie Wheelock had seven assists for Lake City.
Alesia Jones and Michal Bilger each scored nine points for Borah (5-4).

When you go up 21-4 (in the third quarter), it changes the momentum. One way or the other, it was a lot more enjoyable than Tuesday night (a 68-27 loss at Lewiston)."
