Five of Whitefish’s nine football games next season will come against teams that made the 2014 playoffs.

The 2015 season schedule, released this month, will test the Bulldogs early in a showdown with the defending Class A champions of Dillon in week 2. The Beavers edged Butte Central 29-28 to win the 2014 title.

Other playoff teams on the schedule include the season opener at Havre, a rivalry showdown at Columbia Falls in week 7, Frenchtown in week 8 and Hamilton in week 9 to end the season.

The Dogs don’t have a bye week.

The new schedule is on a two-year rotation.

The Northwest A division only features four teams — Whitefish, Frenchtown, Polson and Columbia Falls — with Libby dropping to Class B.

Whitefish won the division last season and finished with an 8-3 overall record.
