ROYAL CITY - New Life Fellowship Church of Royal City will celebrate the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, 2014 years ago with a candle light service on Christmas Eve

New Life Fellowship invites the entire Royal Slope and Wahluke Slope communities to participate in the 7 p.m. service, which will include visuals.

"Christmas and Easter are the two most important days on the Christian calendar," New Life Pastor Lance Lewis said. "On Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

"It's amazing that a man born in a backwater province of the Roman Empire would literally split history in two. There have been more books, songs, and poems written about Christ than all other lives put together."
