ROYAL CITY - Three people from outside of this area were injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash at Highway 26 and Beverly-Burke Road, 10 miles west of Royal City.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred at about 8 a.m. Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, The WSP said.

The state patrol reported that Wayne A. Marsh, 64, of Pateros failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection at which there is a stop sign.

Marsh was driving a 2008 Ford F350 pickup, the State Patrol reported. He was southbound on Beverley-Burke. He was wearing his seat belt but suffered injuries.

The F350 was struck by a 2012 Ford F150 pickup, which was eastbound on the highway. That pickup was driven by Mike M. Temple, 40, of Yakima. He was wearing his seat belt, but he was injured.

Marsh was taken by ambulance to Quincy Valley Medical Center. Temple was also transported by ambulance to QVMC. Both pickups were impounded by Davis Towing.

Injured also was Thomas S. Miller, 63, of Pateros, a passenger in the Marsh vehicle. He was wearing his seat belt. He was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Marsh was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign, the State Patrol said.
