SAGLE - A Priest River woman was killed Friday in a collision on U.S. Highway 95 at Dufort Road.
Idaho State Police said Patricia McCoy was pulling onto the highway from Dufort and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. McCoy's Nissan Sentra sedan collided with a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck carrying three people.
McCoy, 64, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Bonner County EMS run report.
The driver of the pickup, William R. Pattin, 70, of Bayview, was injured and taken to Bonner General Health. Passengers Jacqueline M. Pattin, 59, of Athol, and Jennifer Kirby, 36, of Spokane, Wash., were also taken to BGH, state police said.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the 2:30 p.m. crash, according to ISP. The news release did not specify which direction Pattin's pickup was headed or what direction McCoy was attempting to go when the crash occurred.
The crash closed the highway for an unspecified period of time.
McCoy is the ninth person to die in a traffic accident in Bonner County in 2014.
