A masked robber who pulled a gun Sunday night on a bartender and demanded money at Kalispell’s Bulldog Pub and Casino remains at large.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect entered the bar and pointed the weapon — described in a Kalispell Police Department report as a “black semiautomatic handgun with a red tip” — at the lone bartender working. A customer and casino teller were the only other people in the bar.
Kalispell Police Det. Steve Hoover said because of the description of the gun, it is unknown whether it was a real firearm.
The robber wore a mask, sunglasses and a tan hooded sweatshirt that concealed most of the suspect’s features.
Hoover said it’s believed the robber was a man around six feet tall with a stocky build.
The customer in the bar made the call to police while hiding in the casino while the robbery was happening.
“We have some video evidence and are working on collecting more,” Hoover said. “We have no real firm suspects, just a few names floating around.”
By the time police arrived, several minutes after the robbery began, the masked criminal had left the scene.
A nearby gas station attendant described a similarly dressed man leaving in the direction of the bar and casino just 15 minutes before the robbery took place.
No one was harmed in the robbery.
Hoover would not say how much was stolen from the bar. The bar’s general manager declined comment.
