Roger and Kayrtha Edgington

50th Anniversary

Roger and Kayrtha Edgington celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 31, 2014.

The couple was married on Jan. 31, 1964, in Preston, Minn. They lived in Iowa until 1971 when they moved to Hayden Lake. They owned an HVAC business and retired in 2006.

They have two children, Sherry Benson and husband Ken, and Shelley Booth and husband Cal. They have five grandchildren, Matt Benson, Amanda Tanner and husband David, Melissa Benson, Jared Booth and Logan Booth. They have two great-grandchildren, Avery and Levi Tanner.

Tom and Sharon Evans

50th Anniversary

Tom and Sharon Evans, 36-year residents of Coeur d'Alene, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 4, 2014.

Tom is a retired San Francisco police officer and Sharon a retired retail merchandiser.

They have three children, Babette Wiltsie and Laura Holecek of Coeur d'Alene, and Rob Evans of Hayden Lake; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Thor Isaac David Bahr-Dooley was born at 6:10 a.m. Jan. 12, 2014, to Rhonda DiAnne Bahr and Isaac Uriah Dooley of Rathdrum. He weighed 7 pounds, 7.1 ounces and was 21 inches long. Brother is Ryder. Sister is Shelby. Maternal grandparents are Richard and Rhonda Bahr. Paternal grandparents are Les and May Dooley.

Kare'Lenn Brella Night'Lee Smith was born at 9:37 p.m. Jan. 15, 2014, to Holly Smith of Hayden. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Lenny and Karen Smith.

Gauge Michael Schaffer was born at 6:14 p.m. Jan. 24, 2014, to Shelby Ketchum and Christopher Schaffer of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Tracy Pfenning and Kevin Pfenning. Paternal grandparents are Sandy Schaffer and Lorn Jones.
