MOSES LAKE - An alleged drug trafficker and three other family members are behind bars following a raid of a suspected drug house in Moses Lake last week.

According to information released Wednesday, Grant County's Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team raided a home last Thursday with the assistance of Moses Lake Police Street Crimes officers, Grant County deputies and agents from the U.S. Border Patrol's Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Detectives served a search warrant at a home inside the AAA Mobile Home Park in the 2200 block of West Broadway Avenue, arrested Roberto Rosales Baeza, 36, on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine, according to police reports.

According to court records, detectives knocked on the door of the home Thursday afternoon. Baeza initially answered the door but attempted to go back inside before he was caught.

Police found about 35 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of methamphetamine and 1 gram of heroin inside a bedroom closet, according to court records. A K-9 unit was also brought in to search the home and several vehicles parked nearby.

Baeza came to the attention of INET a few months ago because of alleged drug sales happening at the home.

Baeza is not a U.S. citizen and also had an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer for his arrest. He is facing federal charges of illegal re-entry into the country. According to police reports, Baeza was deported on six other occasions.

Baeza's wife, Evonn Baeza, 33, was also taken into custody on multiple arrest warrants unrelated to the raid. Two young children were found inside the home and placed into custody of Child Protective Services.

In a separate federal investigation, Salvador and Juan Baeza were also arrested and are being held on undisclosed federal charges, according to the sheriff's office.

The Baeza residence is within 1,000 feet of Peninsula Elementary School and investigators added a school zone enhancement charge for Roberto Baeza. If convicted of the drug charges, the school zone enhancements alone would put Baeza in prison for a minimum of six years.
