Carol Lynn Phillips Spear, 60

Carol Spear, 60, passed away on January 24, 2014, after a lengthy illness with multiple brain tumors.

Carol was born April 23, 1953, in Missoula, Mont., to Lyle and Shirley (Jean) Phillips. The family moved to the Athol, ID area where Carol graduated from Lakeland High School in 1971. She then received a degree in engineering that she put to use during a long career with the Idaho Transportation Department. Carol did everything from driving plow trucks to supervising the construction of highway projects.

Carol enjoyed horses and long, back country horseback trips, fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Carol is survived by her mother, Shirley Jean Hill; sons: Michael (Kendra) Cameron, and Chris (Cindy) Cameron; daughter, Michelle Spear; granddaughters Mckenzie, Rebecca, and Suzanne Cameron; brothers: Doug (Grace) Phillips, and Roger (Tammy) Phillips; sisters: Lori Medley, and Betty (Steve) Spealman. Carol also wanted to specifically thank Jeanine Spear for being a part of her life.
