Genevieve Catherine Emerson passed to her rest on January 2, 2014 at Clark Fork Valley Hospital after a short illness. Genevieve was born in Martinsburg, WV to Alton C. Luttrell and Jean C. (Lord) Luttrell. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Alton Lord Luttrell.

“Jenny” spent her working years in business and finance as well as telecommunications. She was a kind and gentle loving spirit who enjoyed reading, writing and illustrating children’s stories, playing the piano and sending notes of encouragement to her family and friends around the country.

She moved to Plains to be near her daughter, Dawn J. Lynch in 2005. She had lived the past several years on Wrangell Island, AK and with declining health a reality she chose to return to Plains, arriving on December 30, 2013.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Irene S. Luttrell, Altamonte Springs, FL, her son, David R. Mowen, New Bern, NC, her daughter, Dawn J. Lynch and her son-in-law, Charles E. Lynch, Jr., Plains, MT. Her niece, Kelly R. Ackley and husband Craig Ackley, and nephew, Jason K. L. Luttrell of Altamonte Springs, FL, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 grand-nephews.

A memorial service will be planned for a future date so family and friends can gather to celebrate her life. She will be interred at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Siler, Frederick County, VA.

Jenny now awaits the call of the Life Giver when she will be reunited with her family and friends.
