Pessein joins Cultivation Counseling
Cultivation Counseling in Coeur d'Alene announced the addition of Darlene Pessein to its staff of therapists and life coaches. Pessein holds a master's degree in social work from Portland State University. She has been part of the Coeur d'Alene mental health community since 1999. Pessein started as the program director of the acute youth unit at Kootenai Behaviorial Health. In 2004, she became clinical director for Innercept, a local residential program. She then went on to work at Auburn Crest Hospice and then Morning Star Boys Ranch in Spokane. She is a certified equine therapist and expert. Some of her areas of expertise include eating disorders, mood disorders, and therapy with clients who have experienced trauma.

Comfort Keepers named 'Provider of Choice'
Comfort Keepers of North Idaho has earned Home Care Pulse's "2014 Provider of Choice" distinction for the third year in a row.
Home Care Pulse, a company that measures client and employee satisfaction, created the award to identify those agencies in the private duty home care industry that demonstrate a passion for client and employee satisfaction.
The Provider of Choice honor is awarded based on third-party client satisfaction scores from several categories, including compassion, work ethic, communication, and training.
Comfort Keepers received a combined average score of 93 percent client satisfaction and 86 percent employee satisfaction for 2013.
