Basketball roundup: Bruins blow by Glacier boys

HELENA — Top-ranked Capital pulled away in the middle two quarters to whip Glacier 67-45 in a Western AA boys basketball contest on Friday night.
Capital (12-1 overall, 6-0 league) outscored Glacier 21-8 in the second quarter to lead 40-21 at the half.
Capital came back with a 19-point third quarter to hold a 59-34 edge going into the final eight minutes.
Evan Epperly and Tanner Olsen both scored 10 points for Glacier (7-7, 3-3).
Kyle Harrington topped Capital, and all scorers, with 21 points.
Capital hosts Flathead today at 2 p.m.

HELENA — Flathead struggled through two tough quarters and never recovered in losing a Western AA contest to Helena High.
Flathead was held to nine points in the second quarter, to trail 30-19 at the half, and was held to two points in the third period to fall behind, 46-21.
Alex Croymans popped for nine points to lead Flathead (5-8, 1-4) in scoring.
Troy Arntson tallied 19 points for Helena (6-8, 2-4).
Flathead plays at top-ranked Helena Capital today.

Tessa Robertson had a team-high nine rebounds for the winners and Riley Coleman led in assists with three.
Kellie Lundin and Allie Brown both scored five points to pace Troy.
