Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 10 months AGO
COEUR d'ALENE - The General Services Committee on Monday will consider a proposal to move forward with development of a master plan for enhanced public uses of the Four Corners area.
The four corners area includes a mile-long stretch along Northwest Boulevard roughly from the Higher Education Campus east to the Museum of North Idaho, including Memorial Field.
Enhancements are aimed at promoting public "connectivity" and recreation use in the area. The committee will meet at noon in the Library Community Room.
Also Monday, the City Council has called a special workshop to discuss taking a position on two pieces of legislation currently under consideration by the Idaho Legislature.
The council may decide whether to take a position on House Bill 427, which would allow Idahoans to refuse service to those they object to on religious grounds.
The council will also consider Senate Bill 1254, which would allow people with enhanced concealed weapons permits to carry firearms on Idaho's higher education campuses.
The workshop will be held in the Old City Council Chambers at City Hall at 12:30 p.m. The public is invited, but there will be no public testimony.
