High school track rules

clinic set for Tuesday

POST FALLS - The annual high school track and field rules clinic for District 1 coaches and officials is set for Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. at Post Falls High School.

NIC vice president Browning

to speak to Booster Club

COEUR d'ALENE - Mark Browning, North Idaho College vice president for community relations and marketing, will be the speaker at the NIC Booster Club luncheon at noon Tuesday at the Outback Steakhouse in Coeur d'Alene. Browning's past work history includes working as a sports director and play-by-play announcer.

Browning was the chief communications and legislative officer for the Idaho State Board of Education until he took over the NIC vice president position in 2011. Prior to joining the Idaho State Board of Education, Browning spent 23 years in commercial broadcast news and sports. He served as news director, anchor, executive producer, reporter, photographer and various other broadcast positions. Highlights include covering the Olympic Games, NBA, NFL, NCAA championships. A former Idaho Sportscaster of the Year, Browning still does some play-by-play work for IdahoSports.com.
