JOBS: Start here with the unemployed

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 3 months AGO

In a recent article published in the Coeur d’Alene Press, Maggie Wilderotter, CEO of Frontier Communications, announced that her company has joined other leading American companies to focus efforts on the nation’s long-term unemployed. Ms. Widerotter noted that she and Frontier are committed to “best practices that will expedite the return to the workforce of those who have been unemployed for a year or more.”

It was in July 2012 that Ms. Wilderotter made the decision to lay off 109 of her Coeur d’Alene long-term, experienced, “older workers.” Some of these former employees now rank among those who have become part of our nation’s long-term unemployed.

My question to you, Ms. Wilderotter: Will you be rehiring your former Coeur d’Alene employees? No training needed.
