SANDPOINT - Nick Hancock scored 15 points on 7-of-7 shooting from the field off the bench for the Lake City Timberwolves in a 77-68 win against the Sandpoint Bulldogs in a nonleague game on Tuesday night at Les Rogers Court.

"Nick was really good off the bench tonight," Lake City assistant coach Kelly Reed said. "He did a good job of scoring in the post area and gave us some great minutes off the bench."

Jacob Dahl scored 13 points and Tucker Louie-McGee scored 10 for Lake City (14-5), which closes out the regular season Saturday at home against Moscow.

"I thought it was a great team win for us," Reed said. "We had a lot of guys step up and contribute."

Jeremiah Gagnon scored 28 points for Sandpoint (8-10).

Sandpoint is at Lakeland on Friday.

SPIRIT LAKE - Mason Cramer's tip-in with 2 seconds left in the game gave the Tigers the nonleague victory.

"Mason came up with the big play when we needed it," Timberlake coach Tony Hanna said of his 6-foot-2 senior post.

St. Maries tied the game at 44 with 40 seconds left. Timberlake senior guard Keegan Scott shot a jumper and missed late in the game, but Cramer came through with the huge tip-in.

Cramer finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds and Scott finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and four assists.

Timberlake (6-11) shot 18 for 61, or 29.5 percent, from the field.

"We shot really poorly," Hanna said. "They have a real big kid inside in (6-5 senior post Leighton) Gertje. They did a good job working the ball to him inside. In the second half, we tried to make them shoot from the outside. But overall, our defense was pretty good, which is what kept us in the game. "

Gertje scored 16 points for St. Maries (7-10). Cody Posselt and Logan Feasline each scored 11 points.

Bayley's jumper made it a 66-65 Lakeland lead with 1:15 left in the game.

"After we were up by one, we got some nice defensive stops," Lakeland assistant coach Bill Ryan said. "Jacob Plunkett got a nice steal off an inbounds play with less than a minute to play. Tyrel and Derek hit some key free throws down the stretch. Kellogg works really hard, they move the ball well."

Lakeland guard Jake Ram scored a season-high 17 points. Derrick had 15 points and eight assists and Bayley finished with 14 points and seven rebounds for the Hawks (12-7), who won their third in a row.
