Inez "Pat" Marie Anderson was born in Roundup, Mont., on April 11, 1914, and passed away near Coeur d'Alene, ID on February 8, 2014 -- just two months shy of her 100th birthday.

Pat married Allen E. Anderson on September 10, 1937, in St. Maries, ID. She enjoyed traveling around the northwest with Allen on his construction jobs, but most of her life was spent at their home in Valhalla on Lake Coeur d'Alene, and at their winter home in Phoenix, Ariz. They were married 49 years before Allen's death on December 17, 1986.

Pat was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was proud to be a member of Catholic Daughters. Her hobbies included playing cards (particularly Pan), reading, music, and fishing. Pat was the oldest of six children, and enjoyed spending time with numerous nieces and nephews throughout her life.

In addition to her beloved husband Allen, Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie I. (Haas) Hoppe and Gustav A. Hoppe, and all of her siblings: Frederick "Fritz" Hoppe, Wilma Jurgensen, Ruth Jurgensen, Katherine Schneberger, and Donald Hoppe. Special nephew, Randy L. Hoppe, also preceded her in death.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d'Alene. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 17, also at St. Thomas. In lieu of flowers, donation to one of the following is requested: Wishing Star Foundation, 139 Sherman St., Spokane, Wash., 99202, or Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID, 83835. Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Pat’s online memorial and sign her guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
