Margaret Elane Blood Jobes of Hayden passed away February 12, 2014, at the age of 88.
She was born June 24, 1925, to Philip Henry Blood and Sadie Alice Johnston Blood. Margaret was the oldest of their 13 children. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School in 1943, and was married to Melvin B. Jobes in 1945. The couple had three children together: Gary, Linda (deceased), and Raymond. Margaret worked at Farragut Naval Base in the 40’s, and held various service positions before retiring from a full career with the U.S. Postal Service.
Margaret is survived by her sons, Gary (Kathy) Jobes, and Raymond (Janie) Jobes; brothers and sisters: Jack (Jeanette) Blood, Clyde (Ruth) Blood, Virgil (Vivian) Blood, Dallas (Gayle) Blood, Leon (Laurel) Blood, Patsy Budd, Marion (Cliff) Smith, Gladys Storaasli, and brother in law, Tom Low.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda McKee, her grandson, Jarrod Hallam, and her brothers and sisters: Philip Blood, Lorena (Stafford) Hauck, Bernice (Pal) LaClaire, Phyllis Low, and brother-in-law, Joe Budd.
Margaret will be greatly missed by a large extended family and many close friends, all of whom she held as the most important part of her life. For all who have been blessed to know her, understand no words can be written to explain the love she had for us. We will all carry and cherish her love forever.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday Feb. 18, 2014, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel; followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Spirit Lake.
