Attack on Walsh 'should be an embarrassment'

I am certain many of you have seen the very costly commercials on TV with Rep. Steve Daines attacking Senate candidate John Walsh.  Apparently Rep. Daines subscribes to the old adage that attempting to make others look bad makes him look good.

This political, very expensive, prime-time commercial should be an embarrassment to both Congressman Daines and the Republican Party. It is nothing more than the same old dirty politics with dark money. It is quite obvious that Rep. Daines has an abundance of money in his war chest.

John Walsh has answered the question regarding his military experience and stands by his actions as it benefits the Montana National Guard. John Walsh served with distinction and faithfully concluded his 33-year career as the adjutant general of the Montana National Guard. His tenure included two tours in Iraq, where he served as battalion commander of 700 Montana men and women.

I can t seem to find Rep. Daines’ military record in any of the military branches. He is nothing more than a political opportunist who has not fulfilled his obligations in the House of Representatives and now wishes to be a senator. It should be noted that he has accepted the endorsement of the Tea Party Express. He has failed to support a bill by Sen. Jon Tester to expand wilderness and mandate more logging on federal lands in Montana. Hunters and anglers and total communities that depend on their business every fall must be aware that Rep. Daines has failed to support the Rocky Mountain Front Heritage Act thus far.

The next time you see his prime time commercial remember much of the funding comes from sources outside Montana.
