Bulldogs fall to Hawks in final league game Hawks

RATHDRUM — Lakeland outscored Sandpoint by 11 points in the second half, earning a 57-52 win over Sandpoint in 4A Inland Empire League boys basketball action Friday night at Lakeland High School.

Once again, Jeremiah Gagnon carried the scoring load for the Bulldogs (8-11, 0-4 4A IEL), scoring 23 points to eclipse the 20 point barrier for the 11th time this season.

The Bulldogs concluded league play without a win, but were in every game. Sandpoint led by six points over Lakeland (13-7, 2-2 4A IEL) at half, but could not close the deal.

Sandpoint is at Coeur d’Alene tonight in the final tune up before next week’s district tournament.
