SANDPOINT — Mayor Carrie Logan has appointed Deb Fragoso to her vacant council seat.

A Sandpoint resident for almost 10 years, Fragoso has served as a member of the Sandpoint Planning and Zoning Commission for three years and has volunteered with many local organizations.

If members approve her appointment to the council at their regular meeting 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, it should solidify the governing body’s membership for the next two years.

According to her biography submitted for Logan’s consideration, Fragoso moved to Sandpoint from Chattanooga, Tenn., in April 2004. She selected the town for its preferable size and its strong community, she said.
