Bob and Sharon Ganson

50th Anniversary

Bob and Sharon Ganson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 11, 2014. They were married in Monroe, Mich., on Feb. 11, 1964.

Bob is a retired engineering designer. Sharon is a retired office administrator.

They lived in Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and Washington before retiring to Coeur d'Alene in 2003.

They have two sons, Gregg (wife Tricia) and Graham (Sara); and much loved grandchildren, Abigail, Sarah, Darrius, Rowan (and Caleb).

Each day together has been and continues to be God's blessed adventure for them.

BIRTHS

Jack Ryan Goodin was born at noon Jan. 16, 2014, to Kylie and Tad Goodin of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. Sisters are Maddison and Annabella Goodin. Paternal grandparents are Kimberly Buchholz and Kirk Goodin.

Thorian Michael Ross was born at 10 a.m. Feb. 6, 2014, to Kelly and T.J. Ross of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Sister is Teagan Bradley Ross. Maternal grandparents are Mary Ann Blomgren and James Blomgren. Paternal grandparents are Mike and Debbie Ross.

Tanna Von Johnson was born at 2:10 a.m. Feb. 7, 2014, to Jill Dyann and Marc Adam Johnson of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Dave and Yvonne Palmer. Paternal grandparents are Carl and Peggy Johnson.

Elizabeth Hope Mellick was born Feb. 7, 2014, in Spokane to Michelle and Dave Mellick of Post Falls. She weighed 8 pounds. Sister is Alisa. Brother is Thomas. Maternal grandparents are Karen and Wally Kaelke of Klamath Falls, Ore. Paternal grandparents are Dan and Linda Mellick of Hayden.

MILITARY

Private Brent Allen Wingham, 18, of Coeur d'Alene, graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Jan. 24, 2014.

Private Wingham successfully completed 13 weeks of intense basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of the 461 recruits in training Charlie Co. platoon 1042. While in recruit training, Private Wingham accomplished the following: He led as fireteam leader.

Following 10 days home on leave, he will report to Camp Pendleton for one month of military combat training. Private Wingham will be stationed at Fort Leonardwood, Mo., following training.

Air Force Airman Garrett J. Guidinger graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Guidinger is the son of Genia DeShazo of Garfield and brother of Jess DeShazo of Spokane.

He is a 2010 graduate of Post Falls High School.

Air Force Airman Connor A. Ralls graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Ralls is the son of Dan and Donna Ralls of Coeur d'Alene. He is a 2013 graduate of North Idaho Christian School in Hayden.
