• Real Estate Career Institute welcomes Albi
The Real Estate Career Institute of Coeur d'Alene announced that Fred Albi has joined the company as Director of Pre-License Education.
Albi was licensed as an attorney in 1965 and became a real estate broker in 1981. He has authored the Colorado Real Estate Broker License Preparation Series as well as five Colorado Real Estate Commission approved continuing education courses, eight Idaho Real Estate Commission approved continuing education courses and a book: "Baseball - This, That & the Other." Albi has been a professor of business law for multiple colleges and taught pre-licensing courses for more than 30 years.

• Young and Schaffer join Panhandle Parks board
The Panhandle Parks Foundation announced two additions to the foundation's board of directors, Sandy Young and Tinka Schaffer.
* Young is the president and CEO of Verdis, a land use planning and landscape architecture firm. Young previously spent 14 years in Coeur d'Alene working in the field of land use planning and landscape architecture in the public and private sectors. She currently sits on Kootenai Land & Resource Conservation Trust.
* Schaffer, who sits on the Children's Village Foundation board, was previously the nonprofit's development director. Schaffer is excited to bring her years of nonprofit experience to board. Schaffer and her family have been North Idaho residents for more than 50 years and care about the area's parks and giving back to the community. Schaffer has served on several local governing boards.
