Warren E. 'Alex' Alexander, 84

Warren E. “Alex” Alexander, 84, of Henderson, Nev., passed away Feb. 15, 2014, surrounded by his family.

He was born June 24, 1929, to Beatrice and Joseph Alexander of Douglas, Wyo.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1953. He married his wife, Lanora, in 1952. They moved to Great Falls in 1960 to raise their family.

Alex worked for Prudential Insurance until 1983. He and his wife, Lanora, moved to Kalispell in 1984 where he founded Ace Amusement. He retired from Ace in 1995 and moved to Las Vegas where he worked for Golden Gaming.

Alex was a member of the Shriner’s Bagpipe Band, the Masonic Lodge and the Elks Club. He enjoyed all sports, especially fly fishing and bird hunting.

Alex is survived by his wife Lanora, sons, Joseph and Barton and grandson Sean, all of Henderson; son, Glenn, and daughter-in-law, Debbie, of Eureka; sister, Iris Ditzler, of Mill Creek, Wash.; and three nephews. He had many friends wherever he lived.

He will be dearly missed.

Anyone wishing to make donations are asked to direct them to their local Humane Society, or the Nathan Adelson Hospice at 4141 Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Services will be held privately in Montana at a later date.
