SPIRIT LAKE - Keegan Scott hit a go-ahead jumper with 15 seconds left in the game and the Timberlake Tigers won the Intermountain League title for a second straight year, beating the Kellogg Wildcats 49-48 on Tuesday night.

Kellogg had a chance to win with eight seconds left, but missed a pair of free throws and the Tigers (9-11, 5-1 IML) were able to run out the clock.

"It was exciting," Timberlake coach Tony Hanna said. "Mason Cramer got hurt, but Hunter Tomkin stepped up and played really big for us. Keegan carried much of the load."

Bryce Johnson hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for Timberlake. Scott finished with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Gus Colburn scored 16 points for Kellogg (11-7, 3-3).

Both teams begin play Monday in the 3A District 1 tournament at North Idaho College. At 6:15, No. 1 seed Timberlake will play No. 4 seed Priest River. No. 3 seed Kellogg will play No. 2 Bonners Ferry at 4:30 p.m.
