Eureka boys, Plains girls win 7B semis basketball games

EUREKA — Trey Bohne scored a game-high 17 points and was a force down the stretch as Eureka spilled Troy 46-43 on Thursday night in District 7B boys semifinal tournament basketball action.

Bohne scored eight of Eureka’s 11 points in the fourth quarter. The bulk of those came at the free throw line where he was 5 of 8 shooting.

Dalton Smith added 16 points for Eureka.

Gabe Hickman tallied 16 points and Gage Tallmadge 11 for Troy.

Eureka will face Bigfork for the 7B title on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Libby. Troy and Plains will meet in the third/fourth place game at 3 p.m.

All four teams advance to the Western B divisional next week in Hamilton.

PLAINS — Eureka never recovered from a slow start as the Lions lost a District 7B semifinal tournament contest to Plains.

Plains (15-4) led 21-4 after eight minutes of action and 32-10 at the half.

Amanda Peterson tallied 12 points for Eureka (5-15).

Hailey Phillips had 15 points for Plains.

Plains will face Bigfork in the 7B championship game on Saturday in Libby at 5 p.m. Eureka and Thompson Falls will play for third and fourth place at 1 p.m.

All four teams advance to the Western B divisional next week in Hamilton.
