HARRISON FLATS - Jordan Meshell scored 14 points and Doug Schatz added 13 as Lakeside beat Kootenai 60-37 on Thursday night to finish off a perfect North Star League season.

"They're pretty good," Warriors coach Doug Napierala said. "We're aggressive in the frontcourt. We handle the frontcourt pressure fairly well in the first quarter. In the start of the second quarter, we fell apart a little bit more. We had some turnovers, which led to some easy transition buckets for them. They really run the floor well ... but I'm pleased with the effort and we'll get ready for districts."

Kody Jones scored 11 points for Kootenai (8-10, 3-5 NSL), and Jake Pfeiffer added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Morgan Willms had five rebounds.

Kootenai will play against Monday's Clark Fork-Mullan winner at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1A Division II District 1 championship game at Timberlake High.

Lakeside (16-4, 8-0) plays a best 2-of-3 series with Wallace for the 1A Division I District 1 title, with Game 1 at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at Timberlake. Game 2 is Wednesday and Game 3, if necessary, is Thursday.
