Class B teams to return to Hamilton

HAMILTON — Ronan’s girls basketball team and Mission’s boys basketball team struggled at the District 6B tournament in Hamilton over the weekend.
Both Mission Valley squads earned the fourth seed in the upcoming Western B divisional tournament, also to be held in Hamilton.
The Bulldogs dropped to Loyola Sacred Heart and Deer Lodge over the course of the weekend.
Florence took the boys tournament crown.
Mission drew unbeaten and state No. 1 Bigfork on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs will take on either Plains or Loyola today in second-round action.
On the girls side, the Maidens also fell to Deer Lodge and Loyola Sacred Heart in the weekend’s district tournament.
They, too, drew District 7B champion Bigfork in a game that will tip Thursday at 11:20 a.m.
Ronan fell to the Valkyries 43-18 on December 14.
