A Kalispell woman has pleaded not guilty to a trio of charges after allegedly showing up at her estranged husband’s workplace and threatening to burn his house down before breaking into his home and ramming his car.

Jennie Quimby, 22, entered the pleas Wednesday in Flathead District Court to felony intimidation and misdemeanor counts of partner or family member assault and criminal mischief.

According to a court document, Quimby’s husband contacted the Kalispell Police Department after an incident began at Costco, where he works.

He reportedly told police Quimby showed up there and confronted him, threatening that if he did not call off an investigation into allegations that she stole and forged some of his checks that she would burn his house down. She then left.

Her husband went home to check on his house.

When he arrived home, the document alleges, he found Quimby had broken into the garage through a window and was taking his belongings. He then pulled into the driveway behind her vehicle.

Quimby then allegedly got into her vehicle and put it into reverse, slamming into it three times while he was inside, before getting out, walking up to her husband and punching him several times, injuring him.

If convicted of all three counts, Quimby faces between one day and 18 months in the Flathead County Detention Center, up to 10 years in the Montana State Prison, and a fine of between $100 and $52,500.

Quimby initially was incarcerated in the Flathead County Detention Center, where her bond was set at $25,000, which she later posted.
