Einar (Gislason) Samuell, 63, formerly of Columbia Falls, passed away Feb. 16, 2014, in Springfield, Ore.

Einar was born in Iceland and came to the United States when he was 10 years old, settling in Missoula prior to moving to Bigfork in 1970.

He is survived by his ex-wife Gayle Samuell-Skees, of Columbia Falls; their three children, Angela McLauchlin and husband Derrick, of Kalispell, Erik (Samuell) Einarsson, of Buffalo, N.Y., and Kurtis Samuell and wife Rhiannon, of Honolulu; four grandchildren; two sisters, Elizbeth Runyan and Audrey Ardison, of San Antonio, Texas; his brother James Ruth, of Kalispell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
