Water being drawn down at Wanapum Dam

WANAPUM DAM – The Grant County PUD started drawing down Wanapum Dam Friday because of structural damage found this week.
The damage was detected on one of the spillway’s concrete sections, according to a district statement.
The dam is still generating electricity.
