Kristine L. Downs, "Casey," age 62, died peacefully on January 3, 2014 at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada after a brief struggle with cancer. Casey was born on October 5, 1951 in San Francisco, California.

Casey thoroughly loved the outdoors, and riding motorcycles was her passion. She loved being on her motorcycle with the wind in her hair. For a time, Casey immersed herself in farm life and became a farmer, horse trainer and 4-H leader. She also loved playing cards, and she was quite the card player. Being a strong willed and very independent woman led Casey into becoming quite the entrepreneur and project leader. 

Family was very important to Casey, which she instilled in her children. She spent a lot of her time raising her children and watching her grandchildren grow up. She was always surrounded by her family.

Casey, the Monarch of her family, is survived by her seven children: Jason Peddle, Jeremiah Peddle, Carrie Howard, Nikki Downs, Jessica Downs, Rebecca Downs and Joe Downs; and her step-son Travis Downs. Casey is also survived by her 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Pam and Vickie, and brother Tom, as well as nieces and nephews.
