Quincy man uninjured in shooting Friday

QUINCY - The Quincy Police Department is seeking a person of interest in an incident Friday where shots were fired at an 18-year-old Quincy man as he was driving to his home.
The victim was reportedly driving up to his residence in the 300 block of Third Avenue Southwest about 11:20 p.m. Friday. It's when he saw a vehicle entering the alley followed by several males on foot, according to police. The victim pulled up to the alley and one of the men broke off from the rest of the group and headed in the direction of the victim.
The man then reportedly pulled out a handgun and fired at least five shots at the victim, according to police reports. The victim was uninjured but the vehicle was reported damaged. The victim was able to quickly drive away and locate a police officer to report the incident.
Police are reporting the suspected vehicle is described as an 1980s model Honda passenger car, possibly a Prelude, and red in color.
The Quincy Police Department is actively pursuing all avenues and seeking a person of interest. The person of interest's identity is not being released at this time.
