A film crew was in Columbia Falls last week shooting footage for Amtrak and EpicTV.com

T.J. David and Trent Bona were on a cross-country excursion from Chicago to the West Coast searching for great skiing along the way.

They skied a couple of days with Great Northern Powder Guides and another day up Winona Ridge in the Coal Creek State Forest with Glacier Adventure Guides owner Greg Fortin. They also shot a piece on their stay in Columbia Falls.

“The snow was pretty incredible,” David said.

After their stay in the Flathead, the men were planning on skiing and visiting slopes in Washington and British Columbia.

“We want to capture what it’s like to travel on Amtrak, coupled with incredible skiing,” David said.

The whole journey will take about two weeks. The first “webisodes” will air next month on the EpicTV.com site.
