Othello slams Vikings, 44-16

SELAH - Othello wrestling continued its success in dual matches with a dominant 44-16 over the Selah Vikings.
The schools traded wins in the lower weights, but Othello secured big wins in the heavier weights, only dropping two matches from 138 pounds and up.
Isaiah Barrera (106 .lbs) scored a fall in 51 seconds over Selah's Lucas Surber. Othello's Alec Lauriano defeated Matthew Harris 17-4 in the 120-pound weight class and Lorenzo Garza walked away with a 7-3 win at 138 pounds over the Vikings' James Garcia.
Othello was able to score wins in seven of the nine weight divisions from 138 pounds to 285 pounds. Danny Cantu won on a 15-3 major decision at 145 pounds and Abraham Gonzalez defeated Selah's Aaron Pimentel, 11-6.
Othello's Caleb Villareal (170 .lbs) scored a fall against Colton Redfield after 1 minute, 29 seconds.
Anthony Ruiz and Bubba Ruiz dominated and both scored falls against their opponents in the 220- and 285-pound weight divisions.
The Huskies are back on the mat tonight when the team faces East Valley (Yakima) at home in a battle between Central Washington Athletic Conference foes.
The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
