Cabinet Peaks open house Saturday; move rehearsed

The days are counting down to Jan. 30 when St. John’s Lutheran Hospital will transition to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center, but first there is the medical center’s open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Recently, hospital staff did a mock move in preparation for the big moving day.

“We’ve spent more than a year planning and practicing for this day,” said Bruce Whitfield, CEO.  

Beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, the transfer of patients from St. John’s Lutheran Hospital to Cabinet Peaks Medical Center will take place.  

“Patients will be moved in an ambulance specifically equipped for their needs,” said Whitfield.
