DES MOINES, Wash. - Johnathen Dennis (184 pounds) won by major decision, Tyler McLean (165) came away with a pin and Taylor Kornoely (285) won by technical fall as North Idaho College, ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA, routed Highline Community College 30-9 on Thursday night.
"Taylor Kornoely looked looked real good," Cardinals coach Pat Whitcomb said. "We just have to wrestle better the next three days. Hopefully we can get another win tomorrow and keep getting better."
NIC (7-2) wrestles today at Coos Bay, Ore., against Southwestern Oregon Community College.

COEUR d'ALENE - Jordon King scored 18 points off the bench for the Cardinals in a Scenic West Athletic Conference win against the visiting Spartans at Rolly Williams Court.
Shikei Blake had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Brad Wallace 14 in a reserve role for NIC (16-5, 3-3), which had 64 points from its reserves in the win.
"Our bench really sparked us tonight," NIC coach Jared Phay said. "We pressed them and were able to create some turnovers and got those guys out and running. We were able to rest our starters quite a bit, so hopefully we'll be ready for Eastern on Saturday."
Terrylee Wedegeworth scored 17 points for Colorado Northwestern (6-14, 0-6).
NIC hosts 16th ranked Utah State-Eastern (17-3, 4-2) on Saturday at 5 p.m.
In other SWAC play, Southern Idaho thumped Utah State-Eastern 103-59 in Twin Falls.

COEUR d'ALENE - Georgia Stirton had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the 21st-ranked Cardinals past the Spartans in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game at Rolly Williams Court.
Panisessi Taimani and Renae Mokrzycki scored 12 points each and Kara Staggs added 10 for NIC (17-4, 3-3 SWAC), which hosts Utah State-Eastern on Saturday at 3 p.m.
In other SWAC play on Thursday, Southern Idaho (19-2, 5-1) beat Utah State-Eastern 106-75 in Twin Falls.
Kendra Martin scored 20 points for Colorado Northwestern (5-14, 0-6).
