Skier found after taking wrong turn

 The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a skier who said he was lost in the vicinity of the Big Mountain. He said he had been skiing with his parents, that he took a wrong turn and that he also tried using his cell phone to call the ski patrol. A snowmobile was dispatched and the skier was located and transported off the mountain.

There was a report of a fifth-wheel hitch being stolen at a location on U.S. 2 west of Kalispell.

A man calling from North Valley Drive in the Whitefish area reported that there were squatters trespassing on a property who had pulled a gun on a juvenile. A deputy was sent to get the people off the property.

After getting a report about a recklessly driven vehicle traveling eastbound on U.S. 2 toward Kalispell, there was a traffic stop near Meridian Road and a man was arrested, most likely for drunk driving.

A man calling from Coram Stage Road said that his ex-girlfriend was trying to beat down his door. The woman was apparently upset about someone the reporting party is now seeing. Not long after, a woman called from a bar in the canyon area reporting that the same woman was calling the bar and threatening to cause problems there. The woman was contacted and advised to stay away from the bar.

There were two reports of a man harassing people and asking them for money in a parking lot on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

A woman calling from Valley View Drive said her teenage daughter was being disorderly, punching and kicking the reporting party’s husband and breaking items in the house. The girl was on probation for a previous partner-family member assault incident, and she was advised that she would go to juvenile detention if she kept up the disorderly conduct.

After getting a report about a man who appeared to be drunk while driving, there was a traffic stop on U.S. 2 east of Kalispell and the man was arrested for drunk driving.

There was another drunk driving arrest on Hospital Way in the Whitefish area.

There was a report of a fight outside a bar on Montana 35 in Evergreen, and a woman was apparently kicked in the face. Two men were arrested after the incident.

Early Monday, at about 12:45 a.m., a man caught a teenage boy in the middle of a burglary at a location on Black Bear Lane in the Bigfork area. The man detained the boy, who was compliant, until he was arrested and taken to juvenile detention.

A man calling from Hungry Horse Boulevard said his daughter showed up at his house, saying that she had been thrown down and struck in the face by her intoxicated boyfriend. The woman later refused to cooperate, and a deputy said she did not appear injured.

At about 3:40 a.m., a person calling from Mackinaw Loop in the Somers area said that a strange man knocked on the door and then fled, but later returned and was sitting on the front porch. The reporting party said the man appeared to have been beat up and that he had a small dog with him. The man was transported to the sheriff’s office for questioning about being assaulted.

 A woman calling Whitefish Police from Dakota Avenue Sunday said someone crashed a vehicle into her yard, causing damage to a fence and a tree.

There was a report of a white pickup truck that was driven into a fence on Monterra Avenue. The vehicle was abandoned at the scene, and it was eventually towed away.
