ROYAL CITY - Despite a night in which three players scored in double figures, the Royal boys dropped two more games in SCAC basketball action last week.

Connell broke on top, 18-10, after one quarter and won, 66-43. Burbank raced away, 18-5, and prevailed 59-40. Still, the attitude on coach Pete Christensen's teams runs positive.

"It should be difficult at this time of year, after losing so many games, to keep the kids positive and playing hard," he said. "This group of kids breaks that mold. Even with the challenges we have has this year the one problem we have not had is playing hard to the end."

Aaron Johnson led the scoring against Connell with 14 points. Jonathan Partida added eight.

In the Burbank game, Riley Lefler was the scoring leader with 13 points. Kaden Jenks scored 11, and Partida added 10.
