Carole Jean Hammock, 79, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Emeritus Retirement and Assisted Living facility in Coeur d'Alene. 

Carole was born March 25, 1934, in Kellogg, ID, the daughter of Paul and Velma Sivara. She was united in marriage to Paul W. Hammock on Aug. 8,  1953, in the Silver Valley. A milestone of 60 years of marriage was reached in 2013.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Carole enjoyed golfing, modeling, and dancing, and was very active in the 3C's. She often said she didn't like to cook or bake, but she could whip up a mean buttermilk pie for holidays and special occasions. Carole was also a huge Gonzaga Bulldog fan, and thoroughly enjoyed watching and cheering for them on TV.

Carole is survived by her spouse, Paul Wayne Hammock; son, Terry Wayne Hammock; daughters Shelley Lanae Stulz and Brenda Marie Arthur; daughter-in-law Susan Hammock; son-in-law David Arthur; granddaughter Roshelle Stulz; and grandsons Cole Arthur and Cory Arthur.

No services are to be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1042 W. Mill Ave., Suite 101B, Coeur d'Alene, ID, 83814.
