MOSES LAKE - A 16-year-old male was shot twice in a drive-by shooting Monday afternoon in the Larsen Housing area. It was the second shooting in the area since Saturday.

According to the sheriff's office, the victim was riding his bike in the 2000 block of Arlington Drive when a white Kia vehicle passed by him. The vehicle then came back around to where the victim was and a male passenger began shooting at the victim through the vehicle window.

The victim was able to ride his bike between two houses into a backyard when the shooter followed and continued to fire. At some point, the victim was shot twice, once in the right shoulder and once in the right arm.

The suspect then returned to the vehicle and fled, reportedly onto Patton Boulevard. The victim ran behind another house and was able to make it to a nearby home and began knocking on the door, eventually making it inside. He was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake with non-life threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

Several shell casings were recovered from the scene.

The sheriff's office has not determined if Monday's shooting was related to the shooting incident Saturday, which was just a few houses down on Arlington Drive.

Police are still looking for the suspects in the shooting, reportedly driving a Kia brand vehicle. At least two males were seen inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting. Police believe the shooting was not random.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 509-762-1160 or send information to crimetips@co.grant.wa.us. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
